Themes of TPP series

Ugh i just finished Goldfinch last week and i can't stop thinking about it!

I loved it so much but understand a lot of people stop reading after Glow; which makes me sad because i love Gold a lot.

So i was thinking about the overall themes and point of the series and honestly, i feel like its about Auren being free.

It's not just about being free from Midas. It's being free from any control and men who would abuse her. The romance is so prominent of course but i feel like it's not actually the main purpose of the story.

When i realised this, i enjoyed the book so, so much more.

So now it's one of my favourite series. Fun fact: my fav book series and manga now both start with sex (Gild and Berserk hahah)

Cute but high spice rec

I am hoping someone can help me!

So, our book club has been reading a lot of dark books lately and I have loved it, but i need a change of pace.

However, I'd love something high spice 😩 i feel like its a bit hard to ask... but cute/cozy vibes and high spice romance?

Thanks in advance! 👏

I'm happy to try anything to be honest! I'm pretty open minded.

Hey all - this post has spoilers! This is your second and final warning.

I'm late to the game but I'm just over halfway through Goldfinch and i love this series so much 😭

I screamed when Auren and Slade finally reunited. They bring me so much joy. The way Gold was Auren helping a resistance group instead of solely focusing on returning to Slade while Slade spent most of the time yearning for Auren.

Malina! From insufferable to noble! Also her having a slight pain kink 😌😏

Oserik throws me off in such a fun way. Controversial but i love the way he'll praise Rissa. Because it's what she deserves. Rissa has been a fav from the start. I'm so glad she came too.

Aurens growth is my absolute favourite. She's come so, so far. A beautiful soul with a fire inside.

I know its not a perfect series but it's my fav. I honestly can and can't wait to finish it 😭

I love how in Gold for the first part of the book they obviously want to return to each other, but Auren is still wanting to help the Fae.

In the meantime, Slade is just constantly going on about missing Auren, loving her.. ugh. I love his revenge tour 😭

I honestly love how these books open the worldbuilding and isn't just relying on Slade to save her.
