Curious if anyone else has skipped their graduation ceremonies?

I’m supposed to be walking this week… long story short my father and I have a very fraught relationship and he had no interest in attending. I’m graduating from a pretty good (IMO) university with a master’s in a male-dominated field . I know it sounds cringe but I was super excited to walk the stage and cement the accomplishment. Like wow, i did this really difficult thing (this is the cringe part) that very few women of my background are able to do.

Anyways i made peace with it until i started seeing everyones sweet graduation posts and videos, esp the ones of first-generation students.

Anyone have any advice or similar experiences? Congrats to all pinkscare grads 💗💗💗
