Circuit was tripped while PC was running and now computer randomly shut down
Hi all,
My computer was plugged into a surge protector when a circuit breaker was tripped unrelated to the PC, but it was on and running.
The PC wouldn’t boot up at first, so I flipped the power switch on the PS4 and then it booted up. It stays on for a variable period of time, but typically shuts down as soon as I start heavier loads. Sometimes I can’t even get into windows. It just instantly shuts down and then the only way for me to turn it back on again as if I flipped the PSU switch on and off.
Is this definitely a dead PSU? Anything I could try? I’m confused because I had it plugged into a surge protector.
Thanks all!
