2 drop wasted. Now going to 3drop.. My story 👇

Hey everyone,

I’m thinking of taking a third drop for NEET and I honestly need some real advice.

I’ve wanted to become a doctor for a long time, it’s not just a random idea. Back in 10th I was actually doing pretty well—I was in the top batch at Aakash, could solve good-level questions, and teachers used to appreciate me. So I started 11th feeling confident.

But things went downhill from there.

In 11th, I got heavily distracted by random stuff, mainly hip-hop drama like Emiway vs KR$NA. It sounds dumb, but I ended up wasting a lot of time on it, and it became a habit to keep following these things. That pattern continued for a long time.

I still thought I’d manage somehow. I did study in 11th and 12th, but I barely revised anything properly.

After my first attempt didn’t go well, I took a drop but decided to prepare on my own without coaching because I thought I already knew everything. That didn’t work out. I fell into the same cycle—“I’ll start tomorrow,” then distractions, then guilt, and repeat.

My second drop was even worse. I kept telling myself that I had a lot of time, and that illusion basically ruined the whole year.

Now I’m here, thinking about a third drop, but this time I don’t want to repeat the same mistakes. I’ve realized I probably need structure and pressure, so I’m planning to join coaching, give regular tests, and seriously cut down distractions—no Instagram or Snapchat, no random controversies, and maybe just one or two movies or series in a month.

I do feel like I have the potential, but my discipline has been the biggest issue.

At the same time, I’m also scared. If I mess this up again, it’s going to hit really hard because this has been my dream for years.

So yeah, I just want honest opinions. Is taking a third drop a bad idea? What mistakes should I absolutely avoid this time? If you were in my position, what would you do differently?

No sugarcoating, please. I really want the truth.
