Is this character design racist?
Hello! I'm writing this comic for a university project and my main character is black. I made her character design and, since I'm not a poc, I was wondering if someone who is could give me an opinion about her, since I don't want to fall into stereotypes unintentionally.
Before looking, I want to point out some things: she's not covered because the story takes place at the beach, and I'm a cisgender afab (assigned female at birth) who despises wearing bras at the beach, so I didn't give her one. Although I do recognise that the extremely promiscuous black woman is a very dangerous stereotype, I personally do not see my choice of not covering her chest as something sexual, but you know, I'm white and I want to know if I could operate better... let me know :)!🩷
