So around two weeks ago, I had a mistake with my MacBook Air. Screen doesn’t work but I can see the display on my external monitor.

I had an off brand charger that (maybe?) caused my MacBook air UBC ports to not charge but also not recognize the HDMI dongle. I was freaking out but I tried it out with my iPad and now the iPad won’t show. HOWEVER - my chromebook does display on the monitor.

Is it possible the off brand charger burned something in my MacBook and iPad? Is it my brain freaking out?

What can I do?
