I found a tick on the back on my leg a few nights ago, is this normal?

It currently not hurting nor itching, I didn't even know about it until my cousin pointed it out. That spot is where I had a ticket, and I woke up in the middle of the night and had to take it off with tweezers. Does this usually happen?
