Trying to move rocks will be the death of me

I’ve littered my island with mannequins, I’ve destroyed my perfectly built cliffs and rivers to layout the perfect location for my rocks. And what do I find???? A rock spawned one space away from a cliff. Ooo I’m mad.

Ok so I’m trying to think and after reading the big Reddit post on moving rocks, I’m having to conclude that rocks can in fact spawn one space away from a cliff, if the rock is SOUTH of a cliff. If a rock is NORTH of a cliff THEN it requires at least 4 spaces of cliffside/water. If I’m wrong correct me. Otherwise I’ll just share this photo of this stupid rock rage baiting me.

Looking for paths that match the dark dirt paths (to a near exact if possible)

I use the dark dirt paths all over my island, but would love some unique paths that can nearly match the color identically, or any dark dirt path borders I can place on top. I found some online but they’re either too “cartoony” if that makes sense, or too red of a color.

Will rocks spawn on these dirt path spots?

I have blank tiles put down around each of the dirt spots too. I’m ideally hoping they’ll eventually randomly spawn one by one, since I have lots of tiles and pathes placed down, I just don’t want to have to cover my entire island.

Thanks

EDIT:

Looks like they’re too close to the water and cliff, can someone inform me how many spaces a rock needs? Like if I were to destroy one space of water and cliff would that be enough? I have stuff built on the cliff so I can probably make it work to temporarily destroy one row but two would make my life really difficult lmao.
