I potentially have low progesterone levels - and I couldn’t be happier

Quite simply, we are finally putting together a picture to explain our miscarriage and the lack of positive tests. I can deal with a problem, we can find answers and work around to a problem… but not knowing if/what the problem has been has been agony! I wish we’d started these tests months ago!
So fingers crossed to this being the only problem, a quick solution, and a rainbow baby in the near future 💕

After 19 cycles of ttc we are going to start medical investigations this Friday

I am currently weight 260lbs, I’m 5’6 & 32 y/o. My partner is larger than I am (largely due to his love of beer - he doesn’t get drunk but he drinks regularly and more than the recommended guidelines), 6’1 & 36 y/o.

I know I am going to go to this first appointment and as much as blood tests etc. will be discussed, I will be told to loose weight, I just know it, it’s a go to answer from what I have heard from others. I have always been a bigger girl, but I have always had regular periods and ovulation (tracked via opk and temp) so here are my two questions.

  1. If my cycles are regular is there actually a direct benefit and link to getting pregnant and loosing weight?
  2. Do I just agree when weight loss is suggested or do I push back that other tests are needed.

I’m also not saying weight loss is a bad thing, but genuinely I’m a happy and active person… I’m just a damn good cook :P
