Looking for honest HVAC recommendations (Broomfield/Boulder area) – Avoiding the "Big Box" markups (Plumbline, Applewood etc)
We just received a quote for over $1,700 to replace a capacitor, a contactor, and a hard start kit ( the last two are possibly not even needed). The breakdown was roughly $600 per part—for items that cost under $50 retail and take less than an hour to install.
What I’m Looking For:
I am looking for a local, independent, or smaller HVAC company that offers fair "Time & Materials" pricing rather than aggressive "Flat-Rate" pricing. Looking to avoid the "big names" like Applewood, Plumbline, or any of the large franchises that focus on high-pressure sales.
Looking for:
Standard service call/diagnostic fee + fair hourly labor.
Does anyone have an "honest guy" or a local shop they trust for property maintenance in the Broomfield/Boulder/Denver North area? Thanks in advance!
