Help me help my mom!
My mom is in her 70s and all of a sudden on a few of her nails (~6 of them), her free edge is no longer straight across, and seems to dip into her nail plate. Relevant/maybe relevant info:
- No trauma that she can think of
- She had her nails polished (not gel) for about 10 days while on a trip in the last few weeks. It's rare for her to have polished nails at all. These were there when she removed the polish.
- She did just start blood pressure medication around the same time as she polished her nails (within the last few weeks)
- She feels fine otherwise, no issues with nails beyond this
- She's had the ridges forever
Anyone have any idea what this might be? She is thinking it has to do with her new meds but not sure. She will ask her doctor but I am more online than my mom so I told her I'd see what I could find in the meantime. TIA for any help!
