Hey everyone! After the feedback on my last post with the mirror (lesson learned: natural photos only so the physical work can speak for itself!), I wanted to share another prop my wife and I completed for our upcoming dark fantasy costumes.

I handled the 3D design and FDM printing. The real magic, though, is my wife’s post-processing: she used thick primers, actual silver leaf, and acrylic washes to give the plastic that heavy, ancient relic vibe.

If anyone else is already prepping their Halloween props and has a 3D printer, I’ve put the files up completely for free:https://makerworld.com/it/models/2370731-moonlit-arcanist-staff#profileId-2594605

Let me know what you think of the raw, unfiltered paint job! 🤘

Starting my Halloween costume early! I 3D printed this "Moonlit Arcanist Staff" and my wife painted it. 🌙

We believe it's never too early to start prepping for Halloween!

We wanted to create an original dark fantasy character, so I designed and FDM printed this magical staff. To make it look like an ancient, realistic relic, my wife did an amazing job with thick primers, real silver leaf, and weathering acrylics.

The raw plastic was totally transformed. If anyone else is starting their Halloween prop building early and has a 3D printer, I put the files up for free:https://makerworld.com/it/models/2370731-moonlit-arcanist-staff#profileId-2594605

We made the "Moonlit Arcanist Staff"! I did the 3D printing, and my wife brought it to life with real silver leaf. 🌙

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a collaborative project my wife and I completed some time ago.

We wanted to create a magical staff for her original cosplay character. I started by 3D modeling the "Moonlit Arcanist Staff" from scratch and printing it. However, raw plastic is only half the battle.

My wife took the printed pieces and applied a masterclass in weathering. She used actual silver leaf and acrylics to give the Celtic knots a deep, worn metallic look, making it feel like a genuine artifact you'd find in a fantasy RPG.

It was a blast to work on this together. If anyone wants to print and paint their own version, I’ve made the 3D files completely free:https://makerworld.com/it/models/2370731-moonlit-arcanist-staff#profileId-2594605

I've included some close-ups at the end so you can see the paint details. Hope you like it!

[Self] 3D Printed and Hand-Painted "Moonlit Arcanist Staff" for an original cosplay! 🌙✨

With convention season approaching (we are getting ready for Festa dell'Unicorno and Lucca Comics here in Italy!), I wanted to share one of our absolute favorite original props we made a while back.

I handled the 3D design and FDM printing, trying to incorporate intricate Celtic knots and crescent moon shapes into the structure. But the real magic happened in post-processing: my wife took over and did an incredible job with thick primers, actual silver leaf application, and metallic acrylics to give it that heavy, ancient relic vibe.

The cosplay shots came out perfectly magical. We are still super proud of how it turned out!

For any fellow prop makers with a 3D printer, I’ve uploaded the files completely for free over on MakerWorld:https://makerworld.com/it/models/2370731-moonlit-arcanist-staff#profileId-2594605

I designed and made this Gothic Skull Hand Mirror. It could be the perfect prop for a Vampire, Witch, or Dark Queen costume! 🧛‍♀️💀

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a prop we just finished. I did the 3D design and printing, and my wife Ambra did an amazing job with the painting and weathering to make it look ancient and realistic. 🎨

I thought it would be perfect for anyone putting together a dark, gothic, or Halloween costume.

If you happen to have a 3D printer (or a friend who has one), I uploaded the 3D files completely for free. You can grab them here: https://makerworld.com/it/models/2784170-gothic-elegance-skull-hand-mirror#profileId-3094750

What kind of costume would you pair this with?

[Self] 3D Printable Gothic Skull Hand Mirror - A great base for dark/vampire cosplays!

Hey everyone! If you're working on a gothic original character, a vampire, or just need a creepy-but-elegant prop for your next convention, I just released a 3D model that might help.

It's the "Gothic Elegance Skull Hand Mirror." It prints really well in standard filaments (like PLA or PETG) and takes acrylic paints nicely if you want to weather it or give it an antique metallic finish.

The files are completely free to download here:https://makerworld.com/it/models/2784170-gothic-elegance-skull-hand-mirror#profileId-3094750

Happy crafting!

I designed a Gothic Elegance Skull Hand Mirror 🪞💀

Hey everyone! I just uploaded my latest design to MakerWorld: the "Gothic Elegance Skull Hand Mirror".

I designed this specifically to be a clean, straightforward FDM print. I ran the profile through my X1 Carbon and the details came out incredibly sharp without needing a crazy amount of post-processing or a nightmare of supports.

It’s a really fun project if you're looking for something dark/gothic to decorate your space, or if you need a quick prop.

You can grab the print profile here:https://makerworld.com/it/models/2784170-gothic-elegance-skull-hand-mirror#profileId-3094750

Let me know what you think, and I'd love to see what filament combos you use if you print it!
