prediction for new Glossier You 📚
I don’t think the “new chapter for Glossier You coming soon” is a new flanker. Soie JUST came out as a summer fragrance and it’s not even summer yet.
I think the new Glossier You product is going to be an updated discovery set including Soie, and they’re going to package it like a book boxed set and name it something like the Glossier You Library.
Since the release of Soie, the Glossier You Wardrobe has been outdated/incomplete because it doesn’t include Soie. So they’ve been giving it away as a “free gift with purchase” to clear the inventory before ushering in a new version of the discovery set.
It would’ve made more sense to release an updated discovery set with Soie, and if it was book-themed, they could’ve done a “beach reads”-themed marketing campaign. But I think they overestimated how many people would buy the You Wardrobe when they released it around the holidays (like they did with many of the other holiday gift sets) and now they have too many left over that they need to get rid of before releasing an updated version.
