Before you say anything, I’ve already looked on Indeed, zipper recruiter, snag a job, glass door, and a general Google search. It seems to be bare-bones in the job market right now especially for college students returning for the summer. Does anyone know of any local businesses hiring college students for the summer? TIA
Hey all, I have EDS, dysautonomia, MCAS, iron deficiency, and all the other great things that come with these conditions. On Friday, I was fine when I woke up, my mcas symptoms have been fine recently, as I am on tirzepatide to manage it. I went to highland cow cuddling on friday, which was outside in the elements (i’m allergic to almost everything outside). I was fine during it, but after I was itchy, had an itchy throat, and a stuffy nose. I could feel my allergies acting up, other than that I was fine. An hour ish later I had pretty bad flushing that lasted an hour or more. I ate three bites of chipotle which is normally fine for me, and immediately felt sick, I laid down as it felt like a normal after eating mcas experience. I ended up falling asleep, and woke up groaning in agony. It wasn’t really pain, I just felt horrible. I took it as just a really bad mcas flare up after eating, and I tried to go poop, but I couldn’t. Then a few minutes later I began to projectile vomit. It was so much, I’ve never seen that much vomit in my life. I initially felt better after vommiting, but then 15 minutes later I began to vomit again. Everytime I did after the first time i would have these “episodes”, where I would sweat profusely, feel like I can’t breath, feel very weak, twitch, throw up, and poop, and lose control of my body, plus my vision would go black. Luckily I was not alone and had my mom with me, she was holding up my body as I threw up, because it was so odd, my body would just flop and I was also shaking really bad. My face was swollen and obviously pale as this was happening. I remember telling my mom “I don’t know what to do” because that’s how much agony i was in. I couldn’t even think I was in so much pain, my parents decided to call 911, because there was no way I could get in the car and ride 20 mins to the hospital. It took me a bit to feel well enough to get into the ambulance, and when I did they gave me zofran, and I felt better. At the hospital I felt better as time went on, and didn’t throw up again, only had diarrhea, and no more episodes. The hospital originally thought food poisoning, but my sister had almost the same thing as me from chipotle, and she was fine. They ultimately ruled it as an mcas flare, and gave me fluids and I went home, I’ve been fine since.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Could this be an MCAS flare resulting from multiple contacts with triggers that day?
