glapp.io type app for patches?

Hi ladies -

are any of you using the glapp app to track your glp1 medication? Highly recommend.

I love the graph showing the estimate of how much is in your system based on timing and medication metabolism, and would love to have something like that for estradiol patches so that I could better understand and fine tune timing, placement, etc for minimizing symptoms. Does such an app exist? please share!

TIA.

I got curious after someone posted about the 'microdosing' sub (btw, to the author of that thread, the 'spinning your wheels' line was hilarious!) and got curious as to why the general guidance isn't more nuanced with regard to body mass (to say nothing of sex/age differences...).

Of course there are variations, but it seems like segmenting the patient population would more closely align with how we dose other medications, like anesthesia. For example, if your starting mass is:

  • under 150 pounds, your starting dose could be 1 - 1.5 mg
  • 150 - 200lbs, it'd be 1.5 - 2mg
  • 200+lbs, it'd be 2 - 2.5 mg.

That would also apply to your titration amount:

  • under 150 pounds, titrate by .5mg - 1mg at a time.
  • 150 - 200lbs, titrate by 1-2 mg at a time.
  • 200+lbs, 2.5 mg at a time.

I know some folks do make their own schedule, but I didn't and I probably would have modified my approach if i'd thought of this earlier.

It just defies belief that a person who is starting at 165 pounds would take the same dose as someone who is starting at 265. It would also inform how we think/talk about 'microdosing'. If you're starting at 140 pounds, .75 mg is actually your normal dose, nothing micro about it.

Anyone have any insight into why the guidelines aren't more fine tuned? Just for simplicity with prescribing? Dollars to donuts we'd see fewer side effects if the dosing guidance was modified for starting mass, sex, and age.

Edit update: I called Customer Service, got great help with the invoice and will pay my appt fee in advance of my appointment. If anyone's in the same boat, phone is the way to go.

Original Situation:

I'm an existing patient, and have a confirmed refill appointment and have filled out the questionnaire in the Charm portal, but I've not yet paid or been invoiced for the $75 fee.

I don't want to be cancelled on for lack of payment. My May 5 appointment was confirmed a few days ago. Does the invoice for the appointment usually come right away?

tia!
