I told the dr I had pain in my groin and buttocks area Thursday morning May 7th along with discomfort when I urinated lasted for about 2 days
I felt a bump under my public hair so I used a trimmer with a guard to get it as low as possible so I can see it

Went to the Dr today 4-5days later to examine the bump and explained the symptoms.

Dr examined it with gloves and said this was not herpes and could be many other things and gave me a general panel? HIV,chlam, syph gohn

I asked her to add hsv testing to my lab which she did not recommend but my lab is saying it’s an extra 200.00 not covered so I went home and to think about

Should I go do testing on my own or trust the dr?
Kinda paranoid
