What are people's thoughts on my Vampire?
As she is now, she's essentially a Dread Warrior with a life steal ability. I thought of dropping her Attack or Defend to 3, but either at 3 sounds too low for a Vampire. What do people think?
Help me tweak my new monster group!
The Eldran are the Fey extradimensional creatures Elves evolved from. They are capricious and cruel and view all other life as beneath them.
Mechanically, they are based on the Elf minis from Mage of the Mirror, and the Dark Elves from Mortimer's Old World bestiary.
I came up with the name Eldran because it pays homage to the Norse word "Huldra" (hidden people), WH40K's Eldar, Moorcock's Eldren, D&D's Eladrin, and Hydra Cooperative's Eld. They're powerful, but they're designed for later game heroes who have become more powerful themselves.
Edit: I forgot to mention, they're going to have Halfling slaves that are forthcoming and have lower stats, rounding them out a bit.
My wife and I have been married since 2014. I have fertility issues and we have one duaghter through IVF. Earlier this year we started another round of IVF and transferred one of the embryos to my wife.
And it worked! The little guy started off small but started growing at a fast rate. We were expecting to give our daughter a sibling in November/December.
And then Monday afternoon my wife got the news. The embryo was not viable and she would be having a miscarriage. And I've been a wreck since. We were only about 6 weeks along but we lost a child, a child we're never going to meet, never going to make memories with.
I hardly sleep, I have no appetite, and I can't focus at all at work. And if anything, the hurt is increasing.
I'm just looking for support. People don't seem to know how to handle miscarriages, and I've got a lot of "It wasn't meant to be" "Everything happens for a reason bullshit."
More than anything I wanted a place to write out my thoughts and how I'm feeling right now. Thanks.
The Orc and Goblin shaman obviously add some Dread Magic to a greenskin encounmter. The Orc Captain. The Dread Orc is an Orc warped by Dread Magic to be stronger and tougher (shamelessly borrowed from a fantasy book about jewelry) Drop them in your greenskin encounters and add a little variety!
Finally, the Orc hero gives you a chance to actually play as an Orc! Let me know what you think!
My group has been playing with this and having a lot of fun with it.
In the world of Heroquest, vile creatures dwell in underground ruins and it should be no surprise that they take captives from time to time, to sacrifice to their dark gods or simply to torture to death. Anytime the party discovers a room with either the torture rack or the altar, place a prisoner mini in the room. Prisoners cannot attack, but have 3 body points and defend with 2 combat dice. The prisoner moves with 2 red dice and is controlled by a player of the party's choice.
If the party successfully exits the dungeon with the prisoner, they receive a reward depending on the social class of the prisoner. The exception is if the prisoner is an outlaw, in which case he robs the party and makes a quick getaway!
Roll a D20 and consult the chart to determine what social class the prisoner is
