My heart breaks for the mother cows in the dairy industry who have their babies repeatedly stolen from them, and then find themselves on the slaughterhouse floor when they can’t produce milk anymore. Or the sows kept in gestation crates where they can’t act on any of their maternal instincts.

And every other non-human mother who is exploited for human greed and profit. It breaks my heart and today especially, I think of them. 🥺❤️
