How concerned should I be?
I live with my dad, he works and I commute every day. The house is kinda large so we have a househelp.
We have a backyard shamba that's large enough for a couple of fruit trees and all kinds of veggies. The house help, is from an agricultural background and she loves to farm to the point i think she's obsessed with it.
When she came, we didn't have a lot because the previous house help didn't seem to like shamba work,so we mostly had veggies(fruits etc), and called a groundsman to farm.
When the current house help came, she started working in the garden. She has a green thumb. Everything was growing. However, she would plant everything and anything. And I mean, every seed she came across. At first it's fine, because...more food. Until there was random trees growing everywhere and vines taking over the whole garden.
The thing is, she's really not organised.
We have a compost pit but she throws scraps all over. So the entire garden smells. We also have sections for decorative plants around the house and you'll find, tomato vines, pigeon pea plants, peas, beans in those places. But it's like a single or 2 plants, like what will you do with a single plant. Eat 5 beans?
By this point, the garden is mostly full because she plants wherever. I'm not too mad about that. I in fact want to make an easier access compost bin and get into gardening now that I'm on break.
The breaking point, is that she's been storing seeds in the house now. Pawpaw seeds, mango seeds, avocado seeds, passions, tree tomato seeds etc. And not just a few, like handfuls. She has them in her room, under her bed. Sheets of serviettes and paper towels with rotting seeds, her side drawer has like rotting lemons. The whole house is full of fruitflies that she's been basically breeding in her room. To the point her curtains have mold. I found A yoghurt container with rot. Her clothes drawer with rotting fruit etc.
Regular flies too.
I've asked her multiple times to stop it but she either moves her stash or hides it.
What would you do?
