PMC .25 hard primers

PMC .25 hard primers

I know there's .25 aficionados around here so just a shared experience with one gun and a range trip.

The two rounds on the right are PMC, unfired, both struck twice. The one on the right is Winchester brand .

The gun is a FIE Titan, which happily chewed through 70 rounds of Winchester without issue. The PMC not so much.

The first seven round mag only two rounds went off, none of the unfired ones did on the second try. The second mag, NOT ONE round fired, two did on the second attempt. At this point I cut my losses and put the gun away for the day. I have had some hard primers in their 38 special rounds as well, chalking them up to a loose strain screw on my revolver. This has got me scratching my head, and I'm considering passing on this brand from now on. YMMV

When I bought this gun new I went all in. Bought extra mags, shot it a lot, got pretty proficient with its long trigger pull. It was and is an accurate little piece. The low bore axis and non fixed barrel make the little gun very manageable, and even fun to shoot. It carries beautifully with its rounded edges. Polished the slide some in a fit of boredom, which was dumb because it's now slippery as an eel. Break down is simple save for installing the non captive recoil spring which has caused me no small amount of frustration.

Started losing interest in it after the plastic mag release snapped in half while shooting it. Got it replaced with a used one, but my faith in it has given way to a Glock 42.

Took it out today and it cycled through five full mags without a hitch.

Anyone looking for a cheap mouser might search the used market for one. They really are pretty neat guns IME.
