Fiio JT1 or HyperX Cloud Alpha for PS5 (Story Driven Games?

Hi everyone, i’m looking for some advice on which headphone I should pick. I mainly play on PS5 and focus on story-driven action-adventure games like Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, Ratchet & Clank, etc. So immersion, sound quality, and comfort for longer sessions are pretty important to me.

For now, the options I’m considering are Fiio JT1 and HyperX Cloud Alpha, but I’m very open to better suggestions, as long as they’re under $100. This will also be my first headphone, so I want to make the right choice.

A little more context: I’m looking for a fun sound signature for gaming and watching movies, and I’ll only be using the headphones at home. I’ve previously tried the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x and Sony MDR-7506. I enjoyed their bass and really liked the sound effects and movie soundtracks, but the vocals/dialogue in movies felt a bit unclear to me. Also, the MDR-7506 was very uncomfortable for me, my ears started hurting even after only trying the demo unit briefly in the store.

Appreciate any insights or personal experiences. Thanks! 🙏

Hi everyone, i’m looking for some advice on which wired headset I should pick. I mainly play on PS5 and focus on story-driven action-adventure games like Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, Ratchet & Clank, etc. So immersion, sound quality, and comfort for longer sessions are pretty important to me.

For now, all of the options I’m considering are wired headsets. This will also be my first “premium” headset, so I want to make the right choice:

- HyperX Cloud III

- HyperX Cloud Alpha

- HyperX Cloud Stinger 2

For my use case (mostly single-player, immersive games), which one would you recommend and why? I’m also wondering if it’s worth saving up more for something like the HyperX Cloud III S Wireless, but I’m not sure if going wireless is really worth it for my use case.

Appreciate any insights or personal experiences. Thanks! 🙏
