Best option for grandparent who refuses to properly install a car seat because "they don't want to damage their car"?

A damaged family because they don't prioritize their grandchild's life over the possibility of damaging the seats of their car seems like a no brainer, but I digress.

My question is: would a Ride Safer vest be the safer option over an improperly installed car seat/booster for a 6.5 year old?

By improperly I mean the seat is not attached in the car as tightly as it should be, it's in there very loosely...like take a turn a bit fast and the seat moves. I always insist on installing the seat any time it's planned for the grandparent to get the child, making special trips to their house for the sole purpose installing the seat properly. But there's been situations where I'm unable to do so and this grandparent is the only option.

In my head, the vest would be the way to go to avoid this all, but I know there can be a learning curve, so I'm wondering if it could be just as or even more problematic than a loose car seat? Thanks for any insight!
