Do you still get postal receipts with 3rd party insurance?

Do you still receive USPS scan receipts / acceptance receipts when printing shipping labels through 3rd-party platforms like Stamps.com or through your insurance provider’s app?

Trying to understand how sellers handle proof of acceptance for insurance claims.

Tracking says delivered, customer says they didnt receive anything

I want to do the right thing. My boss says if the tracking shows the package has been delivered, there's not much we can do.

But i don't want to ignore the customer and leave her hanging. I am torn. Should I believe the customer? I was told "anybody can just say they didnt receive their package, so we rely on tracking, and tracking shows it's been delivered. we've done our part."

Help?

I work customer support for a small eBay seller (about 3–5 people). I just started in January, and I’ve actually never used eBay as a buyer myself.

Lately, I’ve been dealing with a lot of cancellation requests — both through eBay and direct messages — and a huge chunk of them are claiming “accidental bidding.”

Some examples:

  • “My kid bid on this, not me. Please cancel.”
  • “I wasn’t trying to bid, I don’t know what happened.”
  • “I don’t remember bidding this high.”

Stuff like that.

Since I’m still pretty new to this, I’m trying to understand how common this actually is. Do these things really happen often on eBay, or are most of these just buyer’s remorse?

Would appreciate insight from more experienced sellers — how do you usually handle these?
