Hiring YT video editor - 2 Videos per week - 177k subs

We’re looking for a reliable YouTube editor for 2 videos per week. The videos are usually 20 to 30 minutes long. Very occasionally there are longer outlier videos, but that’s rare.

The editing style is fairly simple:
- Mainly vlog style
- Usually one camera setup
- Travel, hiking and outdoors niche

We’re looking for someone experienced who understands YouTube pacing and retention, can make clean editing decisions independently, and doesn’t need constant guidance or hand holding.

The goal is to improve retention, keep the pacing engaging, and maintain a style similar to the existing videos on the channel.

The client is Katie Roams. Feel free to check out the channel on YouTube before applying. Please do not apply if this isn’t something you are familiar with or can edit without needing guidance or help.

We would want a trial video before committing to anything long term.

Please only apply if you’re a competent editor with solid experience. We’re not looking for beginners or people who are unreliable.

If interested please send me:
- Examples of relevant work
- Your rates
- Your turnaround time

Thanks.

(Budget $2000. Open to offers/negotiation with the right editor)

Hiring YT Video editor!!

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a video editor to join a travel, hiking and outdoor YouTube channel on an ongoing basis.
The workload is two long-form YouTube videos per week, each typically finishing between 20–30 minutes.

The editing style is clean and natural, no heavy effects, no flashy transitions, no intense SFX. Most footage comes from one main camera with occasional drone shots mixed in.

What matters most:

- Vlog-style pacing that feels natural, not rushed or dragged out
- Clean cuts, no dead air
- A genuine understanding of YouTube retention and how to keep viewers watching
- Consistent, reliable delivery week on week

This isn’t a high-pressure role. The footage is straightforward outdoor and travel content, the skill I’m really looking for is good timing, clean editing and the ability to work independently without much hand-holding.

To apply, please send:

- Portfolio or examples of similar work (vlogs, travel, hiking, outdoor content preferred)
- Your rate per video or weekly rate
- Typical turnaround time
- A brief overview of your editing background

(Budget: $2,000+)

Thanks!
