Opinions about number of cards in first set

So after testing the game a bit with friends (printing cards and playing online), we’ve actually been having a really good time with it so far. A couple of friends who weren’t even planning to get into the game are now interested too, which honestly feels like a really good sign for a new TCG.

One thing we started wondering about though is the size of the first set. From what I’ve seen, the first Cyberpunk TCG set is around 150 cards, which feels a bit small compared to other recent TCG launches. For example, Riftbound launched with around 300 cards in Origins.

For people with more TCG experience: is 150 cards normal for a first set? Does it usually feel limiting for deckbuilding/meta variety, or is it actually healthier for a game early on?

I can see both sides honestly. Smaller sets probably make balancing easier and help new players learn the game faster, but at the same time I wonder if the meta could become “solved” too quickly if there aren’t enough cards and archetypes.

Curious to hear what people who’ve played other TCGs think about this.
