Default Payment Method Changed to Corporate Card Without My Consent
On Sunday I booked a ride home on my personal account as I normally do. Yesterday, I received an expense email from my work and thought it was fraud at first. Well it turns out, for some reason Uber switched my personal account payment in my profile (which was Apple Pay) to my corporate card. My corp card was the only physical card in my uber app since my default payment method was Apple Pay (which was connected to my personal card). This is beyond unacceptable for corporate customers and can cause repercussions at work. I make it a point to always check my personal account was selected and not my corp account (and it’s obvious for me if I accidentally select corp because the colors are different). I know for a fact I selected my personal account and I even used it the day before with zero issues (not to mention I use uber constantly and this has never happened).
Tried to complain but wasn’t able to get anyone on the Uber side yet. Will keep trying but wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else recently and/or to provide a warning.
