We’ve all been there: you spend an hour setting up an environment and spawning cars, the game crashes, and everything is gone. As a software engineer and long-time player (3521 hours), I finally reached my breaking point with "temporary" worlds.
I spent the last few weeks coding Valet, a plugin that snapshots your session so you can load back in exactly where you left off.
What Valet Does:
- Saves automatically — triggered on vehicle spawn, any part configuration change, and every minute in the background (intentionally staggered to avoid performance spikes). No manual saving, ever.
- Captures the full setup — world coordinates, rotation, paint/liveries, and mechanical tuning (camber, ride height, fuel, tire pressure). Parts configuration is in beta, broken parts are disabled on spawn.
- Restores on load — Select a saved session to load from in the Valet Menu. Vehicles spawn in as you left them.
- Automation-ready — works seamlessly with your custom car exports.
- Session-aware — each Freeroam load is treated as its own session. Start a new one when you want a clean slate; otherwise load a Valet session to pick up where you left off.
