[ Speaker takes a deep breath]
“She'll understand … maybe we can even talk it out … find a solution .”
[ Speaker finally stops outside the door , let's put a deep exhale before knocking three times quickly ]
“Here goes nothing .”
[Speaker clears his throat ]
“Pizza delivery !”
[Listener replies , the muffled slow footsteps approaches the door before she fondles with locks and opens it ]
“Pizza delivery, order number 129. Large pizza half, Hawaiian half pepperoni. Cash or card ?”

“Okay cool. You can tap.”
[The card machine beeps sthe card declined]
“Hey, that's fine, would you like to try again? These things glitch out so much sometimes. “

“I get it . Nothing gets the blood pressure quite like your card declining when you are sure you had money on it .”
[Card machine beeps declining again]
“Damn technology!”
[Speakers laughs trying to break up the awkward air]
“I swear it's probably just glitching again.”
[Speaker mutters to himself]
“Ugh I'm stalling , I need to get this over with.”
[He speaks up]
“Forget about it actually. I have it covered.”
“You're eating pineapple on pizza again … you're trying to get your dopamine hit. ”

“ Because it's your sad food. Cheers you up.”

“I should just come out with it … I've been…. Well observing you for a while now and now you're not really doing anything…. Like at all. It's getting boring .”

“Yeah don't go freaking out now. I just wanna talk with you and I kinda went through a whole lot of trouble to make sure we had our privacy too. Room 104 has band practice , he's not there. Mr Walker in room 309, his hearing aids needed to get fixed so he's not going to hear you or anyone for the next 2 days. Room 111, Katie is on vacation in Jamaica on a beach somewhere. Mrs. Smith , aloof, doesn't speak to you , strict bed time with ear plugs . Doesn't even matter if she's here. But I'm not here to hurt you babe. We just need to talk … about our relationship.”

[Listener tries to close the door but Speaker stops it and pushes it open]
“Oh no, I really insist.”
[Speaker forces his way in and closes the door]
“Please have a seat .”
[ He puts the pizza box on the table ]
“ You should start eating before it gets cold.”

“You are so smart . I missed that, you know.”

“I intercepted your call and pretended to take your order then I placed your order for you. I had a spare uniform lying around. You'd be surprised how easy these are to get. I got your pizza, threw on the outfit, posed as your delivery guy and now I'm here.”
[ Speaker laughs very proud of himself ]
“Tahdah!”

“ But that's not the point dear . We need to talk.”

“It was getting to me … you're not doing anything.”

“Well yeah I know you work from home but you're here like a prisoner on weekends too.”

“Our spark started to die. My girl was losing what made her interesting. It wasn't going to last long .”

[ Speaker is startled by Listener’s question]
“Soon to be 6 months.”

[Speaker scrambles]
“Well yeah maybe… I was off my game and I wasn't keeping up in the last month because you got a bit boring and you didn't have what I was looking for anymore. That’s actually the whole reason why I'm here. I was going to break up with you …”
[Speaker trailer off but follows up quickly]
“But I swear I'm open to talking things out.”

[Speaker sighs almost ashamed of himself]
“You're right. I gave up too fast . I guess my heart wasn't in it as much as I thought. I really let you down. What kind of Stalker doesn't know when their muse was going through a tough time.”

“Am I even allowed to call myself that anymore? Can I even call you my muse anymore? Did I lose that right ?”

[Speaker panics ]
“No no , please don't cry. I swear I'm not like them. I just lost my mind for a second. It was ridiculous to even say that I was thinking of breaking things off. It's not you , it's me , I wasn't thinking.”
[Speaker regretfully and frustrated]
“Ughhh I'm so bad at this! I should have seen this. I'm the one who cares about you the most . I should have known, you're right. You're always right.”

“I saw you holed up in your room I knew this job was what you begged for, I thought you were so focused and so strict on yourself because you wanted to make a good impression. If I was so obsessed with you I should have checked . I should have made sure. And then on top of that your grandmother died AND you fell out with your friend.”

“I was going to abandon you because you didn't fulfill my selfish needs at the time. I'll be here for you now. You can quit your job. I know you want your Independence and you want to work but I don't want this job destroying you. Quit your job and I'll take care of you until you find something you like. You can do whatever you want , I'll make sure of it.”

“If you quit you'll get the time to grieve and you can go to the funeral.”
