Best Miele attachment for a house filled with hardwood + rugs?

Hi!

My Miele C3 has been a trusty tool for a number of years. I currently live in an old two-story New England home where pretty much every room (other than the bathroom is hardwood with an area rug (or two). The rugs range from a medium-pile Persian rugs to thinner ikea/ruggable rugs to a thick oversized waterhog doormat. What’s the recommended vacuum head in this scenario?

I currently have an:

- an older Electroplus (non-adjustable)

- Parquet Twister

- Turbo Brush

The Electroplus was great when I had wall to wall carpet, but is maybe too aggressive for hardwood plus rugs? On the other hand, the Parquet Twister was amazing before I put rugs everywhere but switching attachments in every room feels burdensome. I’m interested to hear if anyone else has this type of scenario and if there is a good middle ground that doesn’t sacrifice performance + convenience too much.

Thanks!

Edit: I accidentally wrote C2 instead of C3 in the title, Miele naming conventions are hard

Hi all!

We’ve been using a Miele C1 Delphi for the past few years. It was a great, versatile vacuum when we lived in a carpeted apartment a number of years ago.

Recently we acquired a C3 Calima. We’re excited about the improved design but want to make the most of it in our current home.

I noticed that I can take the “electro comfort” power head + hose from the Delphi and attach it to the Calima. Would you recommend doing that in my situation or should I stick to the air-powered Turbobrush and/or Parquet Twister attachment?

About my house:

- 1200 square feet, 2 floors

- Most rooms are old hard wood floor with medium - low pile rugs

- we also have tile in the kitchen / bathroom, laminate in the covered porch (where the picture was taken) and low pill carpet fixed to the stairs

- we have a dog and live in New England so the floors tend to get especially dirty in the muddy spring and icy winter

Thanks for any advise you may have!!
