Ive heard people say rest of FTATR pales in comparison to the title track. Put on side 2, turn it up and just listen to how Evil Walks starts. It is raw power. The rythm section behind the solo is relentless. The 2nd side of that record arguably better than side 1.
Favorite is LTBR (with BIB a real close second) least favorite is Powerage. Love the record, but i passed on it for years when I was younger cause I hated the cover so much. Whats yours?
How many of you lost interest from Permanent Vacation on? For complete no skip albums, I dont make it past Rocks. But those first four are some of the best best rock n roll ever made. Pure garage band glory. By PV, the edge was gone, the production too glossy. Pump was even worse. Janie's Gotta a Gun sounds like the soundtrack to a TV drama. I don't even know what came after that.
