Suitable for Pea Puffers and tank mates?

Suitable for Pea Puffers and tank mates?

I made a rough render of the kind of tank setup I’m thinking about. It’s not exactly what the finished tank will look like, just more of an idea for the layout.

The tank will be for pea puffers and possibly a few tank mates. I’m still planning on adding a cave and 3 pieces of driftwood too.

Do you think a setup like this could work for pea puffers and their tank mates? I’m mainly wondering if there will be enough plants and line-of-sight breaks to help with aggression while still leaving enough open swimming space.

Would the cave and driftwood make it suitable, or should I add even more cover/plants?

I need advice

My tank broke yesterday and I’m currently looking for a second-hand one on Facebook Marketplace. One option is around 79 gallons, comes with rocks, driftwood and a stand for a decent price, but it is a few years old. The other is a Boyu tank with all the equipment and is around 66 gallons for about double the price of the pther one.

At the moment I have a 16 gallon tank with a betta, corydoras and kuhli loaches. I have a few dilemmas. First, I’m scared of getting scammed because both tanks are about 2–3 hours away from me. Second, I’m worried about the cost and maintenance of a tank almost five times bigger than what I have now. And third, if I get such a big tank, I don’t want to have a huge tank for only 11 tiny fish. I do also have a 5 gallon tank for the betta.

I’m just scared this might end up costing way too much. What would you do in my situation, and which tank would you choose? Any advice would be appreciated.
