i omitted the flavoring extracts, only did chocolate and vanilla, and (poorly, lol) marbled it rather than leave it as dollops. my first time trying this recipe, and i love it! tastes like boxed cake mix :-) not too sweet, so we are all enjoying it for a late mothers day breakfast.

ive enjoyed comparing these two after my recent purchase of the 1952 edition. isnt it interesting what was taken out, and what was expanded on? some sections are also in different places!

i use all of them! the picture cook book is a 1950 first edition, and has my favorite baking recipes ever 😄 flipping through to choose a cake to make tonight as i post! im on mobile, wont let me tag my post, oops
