Since installing LibreOffice on Mac OS, I've had consistent hangs on first save of any document.

I eventually figure out it was because I had aliases to network drives on my Desktop which could only be accessed if I was VPN'd into work. If not VPN'd, the hangs occurred, presumably because it was trying to open/access the network drives and failing.

The workaround I came up with was removing the aliases from the Desktop.

But, is there a better way to prevent LibreOffice from attempting to access network drives via aliases on the Desktop?

In any case, I'm glad I finally figured out why LO kept on hanging...
