Is there a way to volunteer to teach kids/adults in Palestine from abroad? I’d like to volunteer my time, but unsure how to go about it.

Given everything that is happening, I’d like to volunteer and help teach kids/adults who might not have access to the best resources readily available to them. I teach english.

I have experience teaching internationally and I feel that instead of being powerless, and watching the conflict escalate from abroad, the least I can do is offer my time to help kids and adults who are curious about learning English.

If you or someone you know would benefit from English lessons, please let me know!

I have around 5 hours a week to give to students who might be interested.

My experience lies predominantly in 1-1 classes with business English and conversational English at the forefront. I have also taught kids from 2.5 years old and up!

Let me know if you know the best way to go about this. Thank you!

I've been trying to really hone in on which arcade games have addicting game loops, and what makes them addicting. I was wondering if any of you guys had any recommendations on very addicting games that i can study, to better understand what in their core game loops make them worthwhile.

Hey everyone, I am the creator of a game called Kumome, and I would love your help on my next project.

Kumome experienced quite a decent success, and even got nominated for board/card game of the year by pocket gamer. However Quite quickly, I realized my own skills as a game dev were hindering my ability to scale the game to where I want it to be. I genuinely believe Kumome is my magnum opus, (and the feedback proves it) but I lack the experience and finances to get it to where I want it to be.

I decided to practice making other simpler ideas to really crystalize how to make a fun game loop, and more importantly to learn how to treat my games more like a business.

I am currently working on a fun game called Project Corazon. I decided to work on it after a pretty bad heartbreak haha. The mechanics are two buttons, and your goal is survival.

Its currently a simple "survive as long as you can" type of game, with time trials offered and a boss mode ladder run offered.

Currently it has:

  • Leaderboards
  • 9 playable characters
  • daily challenges (done just not implemented)
  • 30 different time trials.
  • Survival mode
  • and Boss gauntlet
  • Minor progression system that lets you unlock the characters.

I would love to get some feedback on the game, and see how I can improve it.

Some questions I have for you:

This game is very arcadey (short runs, fast gameplay, just blasting around). What arcadey games do you recommend i check out to learn from? what do you feel they did right?

What usually brings you back to simple games? I play slice and dice quite often because it usually scratches the itch of quick and easy to pick up. what are your "i always come back to it"

Hey guys.

I’m still testing out the prototype for my new game project corazon (name is still to be determined hahaha).

Its visuals are still heavily under work but the gameplay is quite addicting: survive as long as you can, destroy enemies and essentially just win.

Update: leaderboards are up! Separated by character and by mode!

Usernames are created so you naughty kids don’t say anything inappropriate.

Some of the characters have been cleaned up.

Yes the warriors hat is still transparent. THAT WILL BE FIXED!

Here is the TestFlight link to any and all who wanna try and give me feedback!

So far over 200 of you have participated and given me feedback which is insane!! Would love to have you help me come up with new things for the game!

To who ever holds the heart record for gauntlet mode, I WILL GIFT A COPY OF ONE PREMIUM iOS GAME. I am still looking at the options but I can’t wait to see your scores!
