Post-June multipliers do not make sense

Hi. This is mostly meant for GitHub staff here. Thanks in advance if they can provide clarification.

I'm looking at multipliers table of June 1st changes, and their "relative" values doesn't make sense. There are multiple cases where the only logical choice is to use the more expensive model, making me think this is not even intended by GitHub themselves.

For example. GPT 5.4 Mini costs far less than 5.4 in both input and output tokens (a bit less than four times), but will have the same 6x coefficient starting June 1st. And there is also GPT 5.4 Nano which is far cheaper than Mini, but is not mentioned in coefficients table at all. There are multiple other examples too.

Can someone clarify whether I am missing something or neglecting a parameter here?

Thanks

What are the ChatGPT features that are included in a Codex subscription?

Hi. In the Codex pricing page, it says that e.g. a Pro plan comes with "some ChatGPT features, but I couldn't easily find what those features are.

Does anyone know? Are they some integration of ChatGPT free tier features, or more than that?

Thanks

Is there a limit on the number of active parameters in an MoE model?

Hi. We recently had MoE models as big as 1T and 1.6T total parameters. My expectation on the proportion between total and active parameters so far was around 10 to 1, that we save on smaller, "actually local" models.

However, these new huge models have a much smaller number of active parameters for their size (~40B?). It makes me wonder.

Is there a new architecture at play here? Or it's that there is no point in increasing the active parameter count after a certain number? Will we never see for example a 2T/A200B MoE model? Is there a "cap" in MoE models beyond which adding active parameters doesn't improve quality of results?

Thanks

OpenRouter Pareto Code Router

Hi. OpenRouter has recently introduced Pareto Code Router, which allows to make a rotating choice between different classes of LLMs, based on a desired given score: https://openrouter.ai/openrouter/pareto-code

Problem is, this score is set in the payload of the HTTP call, and I have no idea how to use it with OpenCode. Does anyone know how can we affect/modify the request payload that OpenCode sends to the provider? Is there a way at all?

The plastic windows of postal envelopes

Hi. I normally remove these plastic glass windows of postal envelopes (where the sender's address is visible normally) before putting them for recycling. Is that actually necessary, or recommended or completely unnecessary, if I may ask? Do the laws differ?

Thanks a lot.

GitHub Docs shows future multipliers for deprecated models, creating confusion

Hi.

I'm still trying to decide whether or not to keep my annual plan, and it seems GitHub is trying hard to make it difficult to make a decision :)

When I go to the multipliers table to see what models I will have and with what multipliers, I see some models there (usually with decent multipliers :D), that I later find out in the changelog will de deprecated from June 1st, hence those "new multipliers" will never actually come into place. Isn't this a bit, ... contradictory?

And while we are on it, will future new models, if any, be available also to annual plan "grandfathers"?

Thanks.

What will happen to Autocompletion after June 1st?

Hi. In the blog post, they only mentioned that Autocompletion "will be available for all paid plan", but does that it will not exist on the free plan, contrary to the current situation?

Is there any more information?

Thanks

Will Copilot add more third-party models?

Hi. Copilot has been so far quite generous with supporting models from various providers, i.e. Google, Anthropic and OpenAI. My corporate account even has a gpt-oss-120b at 0x, but I don't know where that comes from.

Will that continue/expand after June? Given that DeepSeek and Kimi (among others) models are available on Azure, will we be able to use them in Copilot plans?

Thanks

What mobile app do you use, if any?

Hi. I see in social media a lot of people bragging about "developing from their mobile phones" and using AI agents. Is that a serious thing?

If yes, what phone app is used? Claude Code only has an iOS app, and GitHub Copilot app is quite horrible. Does OpenCode have one? Any independent, third-party provider?

Thanks

Hi.

Probably others too, but in Claude/Claude Code at least, we have the concept of a model trio: The fast and cheap model for bulk/easy work, the "main" model, and the expensive model for complicated stuff.

And since Claude Code itself allows using local models, one define their own trio using environment variables.

What would be your choices for these three models (fast, main, expensive), among the current open options for agent-based development?

Mine are DS4 Flash, Minimax 2.7, and Kimi K2.6. Any feedback?

Thanks.

I finished the "old" German course long time ago and have been on daily practice section, waiting for B2 course to arrive (for English speakers).

This morning, I finally saw the new sections, did the first lesson, and as soon as I finished the lesson, Duolingo went back to the daily practice mode and new sections disappeared!

Was a funny encounter, to be honest, akin to a hallucination episode :D

They are probably still fixing bugs، polishing etc (on prod of course, like real masters do).

Update: The "glitch" is apparently that if you do one daily lesson, you are sent into the new course, and if you done one lesson there, you are sent back into the "Daily Refresh". However, if you jump units and make your score 81 while in the new course, you stay there :D

Hi.

I have a sitting unused Chromebook, that I'm willing to donate. Do schools here use Chromebooks, and if they do, do they accept donated laptops? Should I contact our local school?

The laptop is in excellent condition and still receives updates. I can also install ChromeOS Flex on it to extend it further.

Thanks

Hi. A per-request limit could replace per-session and weekly limits with a transparent approach, technically still keep the request-based model, while practically "counting tokens" like other providers do.

Is there something I am missing?

Hi. It is quite a consensus that the "jump" in quality of agentic development happened sometime in December 2025, transforming from "nice to have", to actually performing.

It was also long discussed that open source models lag the state of the art by 6 to 12 months.

Now, does it mean that to get the equivalence of Dec 2025 frontier performance (Opus 4.5?) from Open source models, we should still wait a few months? What has your experiences been like?

Hi. Algeria and Algiers' names in Arabic are "The Islands" and "The Island", respectively. However, I haven't been able to recognise the so-called islands on a modern map (e.g. Google Maps). Can someone help please?

Hi. For those who have used non-anthropic models (via LLM gateway), how has been your experience?

Do "famous" open models e.g. GLM5.1 etc work as well with Claude Code, or it's not worth it and not much different from other harness tools such as OpenCode or Copilot?

And if yes, is there any model that works particularly better under Claude Code?

Thanks
