Gel base: First attempt. Somehow have learned many things but also nothing at all.

With the curse of naturally very thin nails and an obsession with press ons I thought it would be a good idea for me to try hard gel to strengthen my nails for a better press on base.

To preface, I am NOT experienced by any stretch of the imagination and this is not advice, just sharing my experience.

Here’s what I didn’t expect:

•Lighting is important, to see what your doing
•Dog hair is not conducive to a clean work station
•Getting gel on the skin is not good and burns

Final results, I have some very strong nails with a dash of dog hair LOL (to be hidden later with my next set)

Just thought I would share

But seriously, I do highly recommended putting on a gel base if you’re anything like me and have flimsy nails but also an addiction to press ons. But maybe see a professional, it’s not easy!!

I had to splurge after the person who posted about a week ago, totally worth it 💅

So interesting to see the variation you get on length depending on your nail size/nail bed length etc
