Mercimek köftesi, aka Turkish lentil meatballs is something I used to eat all the time when I lived in Turkey and the wider caucasus some decade ago, but it had kind of slipped my mind.
Had to make pepper and tomato paste from scratch because it can't be found here, also had to toast fine cracked raw wheat to turn it into a bulgur analogue.
it is so crazy good you guys, I've never eaten it stoned before, so I honestly wasnt prepared. Am very happy now - I have more in the fridge for later!
