My grandpa gave me his old fishing pole and its amazing quality. Its by far the nicest fishing pole I have but the only problem is that its a massive 13 foot surf rod. I am in a landlocked state and fish mostly in small bodies of water. I was wondering if I set the pole up for catfishing if it would still be too excessive.
