Anyone free for dinner tonight?

Hey, I’ve been meaning to try this place out and would love some company.

Me: 26, Female, North Indian, been here for four years. Works in data analytics.

You: For the love of god, please be a woman in the age range of 25-35. I’m a non vegetarian so would love if you’re one too but I’m not too rigid.

Maybe this could be our little Wednesday ritual, trying out new places in the city. Saturday is a little overrated now, isn’t it?

I’m happy to verify and I’m always in for spontaneous plans. I don’t want to talk to people here and then we vanish in thin air somewhere on the Internet. I’m just looking to meet new people (girl friends) in the city. If this resonates with you, please DM and let’s get dinner tonight! :)

Searching for the pre covid era, at-least in terms of friendship

You remember back in the day when we’d call our friends post school if they wanted to hangout and the answer could always be yes? It was so simple, wasn’t it. And it didn’t have to be a fancy place, just a plate of momo and fighting over the last piece of spring roll would do it for me. Having a slow day and I cannot possibly wait till the weekend to feel better about life. So here’s the deal, I’ve been thinking of thinking of going on Wednesday dinners and Saturday brunches to help me not feel pathetic during the weekdays (important).

Something about me: I’m 26F, moved to Bangalore 4 years, fluent in English and Hindi, work in data analytics. My hobbies include playing the guitar like a noob, working out (barely), cafe/bar hopping, baking, cooking, photography (maybe a bit), and pretending to journal while sipping on overpriced coffee. My idea of fun is roaming across the city mindlessly and buying cute crotchet keychains (which serve as a great bag charm btw). I’m a yapper and I so would love one too.

Very important: please be a woman? Between the age of range 25-35. I just miss having a best friend in the city and I really want to have a girl gang :(

PS: please only message if you’d open to meeting irl (after we’ve verified ofc), I don’t want to add eachother on instgram and forget about our existence. Again, females only please. Thanks and have a lovely day, you.

26F - Trying to find female friends in the city.

When I think of friendships or home for that matter, I think of 4 stupid friends that I have, who mean the world to me. Growing up, for some reason, I had always a huge group of friends and all of them were girls. And maybe that’s why, female friendships hold such a special place in my heart.

This city is great, it’s got all the breweries in the world and what not, but somehow I think what I keep on chasing is that feeling of home. And while, it is only a dream to go live that life again, but I think I’m done being sad about it. Maybe, and all for I know, after four years I could finally start accepting Bangalore as home. And I miss having girl friends soooo much. I miss them and to me friendship means them so maybe it’ll not be a bad idea to make new girl friends in the city now, will it?

A little about me: For starters, I write too much instead of getting to the point (clearly), I’m 26, a girl (If not for that, this post would’ve been creepy xD), from North India, into auditing/data analytics (yes, sounds interesting maybe but suuuuuper boring). I like makeup, baking, roaming around the city by walking, scrolling Savana endlessly, going on Saturday brunches (low-key pretentious, I know), dogs (so +16727272 points to you if you’ve a dog, or a cat - I don’t discriminate, I’m just… scared).

So well, insert the “aap convince hogaye ho ya mai aur bolun?” reference

Well, coming back…If you’re in the same boat, trying to find female friends in this city, maybe we could go to Tenzin Kitchen together. (they have the BEST momo in town)

PS: I promise to bake for you if you help me pick my right foundation shade :P (I’ve given up)

Places to kill time

It’s the starting of the week and somehow anxiety has taken over my “I’m gonna kill it today” goal. As a result of which, my ambition has taken a back seat and right now, I just want to get out of this place that I call my home and let myself breathe for a change.

What could I possibly do for the entire day to kill time? IKEA is an option which could be worth exploring I guess, apart from that, is there anything that I could do in this city which will help keep my anxiety at bay? Thanks.

Hair type - [2C, High Porosity hair]

I went to a curly hair salon and they styled my hair like this. It looked gorgeous 🥲 I bought the same products and tried styling in a similar manner but I don’t get the same results :( Can someone please help me with a routine that I could try?

I use the Ashba Botanics curl cream for reference. What else could I possibly use?

Trying to find cafés to work from apart from Third Wave, Blue tokai and the likes of it

Are you guys into working from cafés? If yes, could you please suggest a good one apart from the usual Third wave and blue tokai? Preferably around HSR/Sarjapur or Koramangala. Thanks!

What am I doing wrong with my Kajal application?

No matter what brand I use, no matter what technique I use, somehow my Kajal never stays for more than two hours. So far I’ve tried Kay beauty, maybelline, Lakmé and Sugar and I’ve faced the same issue with all of them.

What am I doing wrong really? 🥲 Is there any other brand that I could possibly use that’d stay for a little longer maybe?

Help me build a wedding makeup kit for my to be SIL

Hi lovelies

My brother is getting married and I’ve been given the opportunity (well :P) to build the perfect makeup kit for my to be SIL xD

She has very sensitive skin and gets whiteheads and acne very easily so I want to her very safe, non comedogenic products. Please send your reccos for the best products that I could get for her? Ofc we will go to Sephora/Nykaa for the shade match but would love some recommendations.

I have been thinking of brands like NARS, CT and the likes of it so would be great if you could recommended something similar :)) thanks a ton!

Well, sorry for the corny title but I guess I have way too much free time while travelling from Whitefield to Bellandur, argh. (dumb ways to die, huh?)

Well, anyway, for anyone who is reading this: for starters, I hope you are having a good week. I'm 26 (and dread to be 30), a girl (duh), work here in a firm which pays me just enough to exhaust all my salary on ikea, from North India (so expect random "l want to eat chicken tikka masala and garlic naan" on a middle of a goddam Tuesday).

It's been a hot minute since I've made new friends and while I've been okay mostly but I guess I miss the feeling of knowing people in the city, you know?
So here's a deal, I bring in my expertise in stupidity and pretentiousness and you bring in some funny story that happened 10 years back and maybe that'll make our Sunday evenings a little better?

PS: platonic friendships only :) not looking for a partner. Good day!
