It's a Marvel evening in the house

Started off with my "third time lucky" first victory on Marvel Champions, now attempting to take down Cosmic Ghost Rider on Marvel Unlimited. Quite different games, enjoying them both a lot (though still a newbie)

First game last night. Lost heavily, got rules wrong, really enjoyed it.

Posted a little while back that I had the game coming (and some hero packs, that I will not open for a fair while now!) and got some really good advice.

I got some stuff wrong (thought Threat was going to be 7 due to Scorpion so therefore Game Over, didn't realise as I was in Hero mode he would attack rather than scheme, but I am pretty sure I was just delaying the inevitable) but understood the general flow, I think, and am keen to try again soon (only able to game one or two evenings a week and also just got really into Marvel United).

Anyway, it was fun and Rhino is going down. At some point. First aim is to get him two stage two haha!

New player, a lot of videos etc seem to be 4+ years ago, what recent/regular places for info would you suggest?

Hi guys! Dad in his mid-40s who has recently tried to get into more "physical" games as with young kids I just seemed to collapse in front of the TV/Console when the kids had finally gone to sleep.

Tried a few games and fell into Marvel United, which I absolutely love. Not too complicated, plenty of content to get hold of relatively easy (limited budget, Kickstarter boxes are not for me!) and I can play in a short-ish amount of time.

Anyway I was looking for one more game to get into, and as Iike the Marvel theme (comics from the 80s and 90s as well as the current MCU stuff), Champions made the most sense. Watched some videos etc and found the Starter box for relatively cheap (arriving today) and grabbed a couple of hero packs (Psylocke and Ice-Man, as have liked their characters over the years).

A lot of the videos I have seen have been from several years ago though, probably the YouTube algorithm just feeding me similar content after watching one of them. A few mention about the rulebook being out of date, and going online to get the "proper" rules but without giving much detail. And that was years ago anyway so not sure if it's still the case. Same with "things I wish I knew when I started" type things, are they still relevant or has the game changed in significant ways over the years?

Are there channels out there that are breaking down some of the basic stuff, not just showing the latest packs etc? I get why they want to show that of course, just wondering if there is someone out there catering to the newbie. Or websites or groups like this place?

Thanks (and sorry, that's a long-winded post)

EDIT: Found the solution, thanks everyone who responded!

Hi all,

Not the best at these games but been really enjoying Minishoot. I can't seem to get past the objects blocking the way to the "final" (I assume there is more though) dungeon to the north. I got the upgrade showing me if I have cleared an area and I assume I have missed something, as I only have two showing and they are both races I suck at.

I assume I have missed a small area that unblocks that top bit? Just not sure where that is.

If that makes any sense, any ideas?

Last screenshot (if it has ordered them correctly) is what I have picked up already. Missed Under Falling Skies but bounced off that anyway, for now.

I love/hate this sub haha (the shortlist doesn't include all the x-men united expansions that I am considering as well, as really enjoying the game)
