Political vegans are the one contingent of the population who I genuinely depise

It angers me how detached from reality they are. They make up less than 1% of the global population and yet they’ve successfully infiltrated so many circles, especially online, with their nonsense rhetoric comparing eating meat to actual atrocities. Somehow genuinely convincing people that eating ANY product that comes from an animal is morally evil and reprehensible.

These motherfuckers can’t even eat honey. There is just absolutely no ability in their mind to reconcile the fact that killing other species of animals for food is COMPLETELY natural and necessary for life; and that farmers and livestock have coexisted in a peaceful, mutually beneficial relationship for millennia. It’s especially frustrating because I actually do agree with some of the stuff they say about factory farming, modern treatment of animals, and environmentalism. It sucks!! But these people are so fucking deluded to think that their whiny performative activism is going to make any impact on those issues or convince anyone to adopt their bullshit political stance/eating disorder masquerading as a diet. It’s also insane that they delude themselves into thinking that a vegan diet is inherently healthier than an omnivore diet when that is just not the case at all.

Sometimes when I get too pissed off about it I just think about the absolute plant-based slop that these motherfuckers are forced to eat while I am able to enjoy the simple pleasures of hard-boiled eggs and hibachi. It makes my day a little bit better.

I don’t have many details, but

- I believe that it was a band (not a solo artist) and the vocalist was male, but had a pretty high-pitched voice. I think he was British.

- Probably 80s, but maybe late 70s or early 90s.

- The band name may have been a plural, and I think the album cover was greyscale. I remember the band name and album cover reminding me of New Romantics, though I don’t think it was squarely in that movement.

- Music was poppy and a bit twee, with lots of jangle-poppy guitars and a trebley mix. If I had to guess an actual genre I’d say jangle pop, though I’m not sure

- I remember the first song had romantic lyrics about a woman, and they seemed pretty juvenile/adolescent.

- I also believe it was featured in the 1001 Albums book (though I’ve combed through it and I can’t seem to find it).

This is killing me, if anyone has any ideas even if they’re long shots, I’d appreciate it

I created my RYM account a few days ago, and I’ve never posted any comments. I just tried to comment for the first time and I got hit with a pop-up saying I can comment in 7 days. Should I be concerned about my account being flagged as a bot, or is this just standard for new accounts? I’ve been importing all my ratings onto the site for the past few days, so I have been rating a lot of releases in quick succession. I’ve published a couple of reviews and that went fine so I’m not sure if this is account-specific. I just wanted to make sure I’m not going to be banned, because I am most definitely not a bot.
