Using my brother's Libby

I am always listening to this one hour history series, but I'm frustrated that my library doesn't own these. I want to check out my brother's library because he lives in Northern California. Don't they have access to all of California? Is there any way that I can get some kind of shared link to his account and let him take out books for me so I can see it on my app?

This week's megathread celebrates the morally grey FMC!!! 😱

Whether she's genuinely a psychopath, in the grips of feminine rage, or just trying to protect her little brother, tell us about your favorite character or books with this trope!

Share a favorite passage or scene which illustrate all the ways you can cackle at her antics (or are horrified by her).

Remember to use {Title by Author} to call the romance.io bot. Use appropriate markers to indicate spoilers. And indicate any TWs if necessary.

Have fun!

So did you know that Ali Hazelwood wrote an independent story that is DR-coded that has incensed her regular fans, but that I have been totally rabid to get my hands on? Until now, it had limited publication because it was part of some special event offering.

I just found out that {First by Ali Hazelwood} has now been released under KU with the anthology's name {After the End by Ali Hazelwood et al}. It's a collection of dystopian romance stories with other authors as a fundraiser.

TWs says ableism, blood, death of secondary characters, DUBCON, infertility, violence. Yup.

Book description says, "A general plans to use a nobleman's bride to teach him a lesson. After the meeting, he decides to keep her for himself." The original cover shows a man holding a woman hostage with a mask on his face. The opening prologue of the book makes me think this may be an omegaverse.

I haven't read it yet, but I wanted to make sure others had a chance to read this this weekend. Have fun!

The last few Challenges, I had a hard time finishing the books I chose, and I ended up DNF part way through. Of course, this experience taught me books I didn't want to read, or maybe books I can't power through when I'm not in the mood.

Does anyone hop around and read and throwaway several books until they settle on the right one? I'm wondering if I got lucky in earlier Challenges and found ones I've liked in other quarters, but I've had bad luck this season?

How do you choose? What's your method? (ADD: How do you avoid DNFing too many and choosing the right one?)
