Need help for choosing a microphone
Hi, I'm finally planning to buy my first mic for recording singing, but I'm helpless at tech. Please provide some suggestions! (For female vocals if that matters ?)
So far I've done my research and more or less landed on the shure sm7db, but I understand that I will also require a digital audio interface. Is there any reason i should not get the shure mvx2u?
Additionally, I think I also need phantom power for the microphone, I've seen suggestions for the goxlr mini. Also read that too much phantom power can damage the microphone?
I'm open to suggestions for any other microphone as well, or any advice in general for somebody relatively new to recording music!
Also if anybody is open to explaining how the tech works to me like I'm 5, I would greatly appreciate that as well ><
