Hello! FTM to be here. Due August. Never knew there was so much to consider when buying baby stuff. Whew! I think I've narrowed it down to two (and a half?) options. I have it narrowed down to the Cruz, the Mixx Next, or maaaayybe the Buggaboo Fox Renew? I'd love your feedback! I have a list of features to consider:
- Adjustable handle (needs to accommodate someone 5’7” and 6’1”)
- Bassinet insert-compatible, car seat compatible OR can go into FULL bassinet mode (fully flat)
- Backup: Does regular seat go fully flat?
- Bassinet approved for overnight use? (Ideal but maybe not required)
- Accommodates car seat
- Storage beneath baby seat
- Weight limit?
- Can access basket with seat reclined?
- Hidden pockets for phone/keys
- Good turn radius
- Smooth feel over uneven paving (think downtown sidewalks, maybe local park terrain [bumpy but flat])
- Rubber or foam-filled tires
- All-wheel suspension
- Good sun canopy (hot, sunny climate)
- Single-hand fold ideal
- Lightweight enough for Mom to pick up solo
- High landscape/table height
- Consider a heavy-duty one that’s more all-terrain AND a super lightweight, basic one for cheap
- Fold size:
- Will it fit in trunk with groceries?
- Does seat fold? (N/A if using car seat, I guess)
- Harness & buckle
- No-rethread harness
- Magnetic or easy buckle
- Push feel
- One-hand push feels good and controlled
