Potential new owners - are we crazy?
My wife and I, after driving a few other compact suvs fell in love with the ex30. My wife loves the minimalist interior stying, I love the 422 horsepower and we both love the exterior design. But I have never seen a more divisive number of reviews for any single car. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say Edmund’s even out right despises the car. We have read all the nightmare stories around the software glitches and driving monitoring, lower than expected range and buggy proximity key entry. The rear leg room is obvious and so is the trunk space. We test drive a Toyota c-hr which we like, but the build quality was no where near Volvo. We’ re coming from an x1, which is the perfect size for us and this will be our first electric vehicle. We have a deposit on an ex30arriving in 2 weeks. We Are hoping the smaller size is not a problem. 95% use case is single-driver and passenger driving to work or mid range trips around the island we live in in Canada with mild climate. We have a gas powered truck for when we need to haul people or go on long trips, but the plan is for the ex is to-act as our primary daily driver vehicle. Are we crazy for wanting to buy one of these? Or will we be driven nuts by the numerous common complaints? Would love to hear actually owner responses. Edit model on reserve is a twin ultra.
