Okay I need some practical + ethical fashion advice from this group.
Since starting this journey (and postpartum life before that), I’ve gone from about a size 10/12 down to a 2/4.
Here’s my dilemma: I have a few pieces I love and feel attached to:
a pair of Good American jeans
a long tube dress
another pair of Silver jeans
They’re all too big now, but not in a cute oversized way… just not wearable.
For anyone with experience in weight loss and/or tailoring, how realistic is it to have these taken in? Worth it? Or am I romanticizing it?
I’m also trying to lean more into slow fashion / sustainability, so part of me hates the idea of replacing everything if I don’t have to.
Would love to hear what’s actually worked for you, tailoring wins, fails, costs, or when you decided to just let something go 🧵
