Have been into coffee for a bit, mostly just French press and aero press, some moka pot stuff here and there but recently have been using the moka pot more and more. Have been considering getting into espresso. Saw this deal about 45 minutes away. The steam wand doesn't work and just slowly drips out hot water. Seller claims it works well otherwise. I don't mind doing some repair work on it. I was going to ask her how long ago she bought it from the coffee shop she said she bought it from, and why she no longer uses it. It seems odd to me to put the machine in the basement just because you can't froth milk with it anymore, as if that was the reason to quit making espresso (hey, perhaps she got a new machine). What other questions should I ask and are things to look out for? Does Breville still service these machines if I need to send it in? Is this a worthy purchase all things considered? I know there's good guides on how to service these machines out there. If I don't get this I will likely go down the manual press route with a Flair or maybe even a Robot. I will need to get a new grinder, doubt my timemore c2 will cut it lol.

Thanks for any insight.

Labelled Dupont. Almost smells like NG. It's certainly old. Would I have to get it certified to fill it with propane at the local handyman?
