Dell XPS 17 charger started to fail
Modern Dell's quality never ceases to amaze me.
I bought a Dell XPS 17 back in October 2022, and there hasn't been a single day I haven't regretted it, as I explained here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/1q8m9t9/
Some time ago I already had to replace the battery, and today the charger has started to fail. The issue is definitely with the charger and not the laptop, since it has an LED that shows whether it's working or not, even without being plugged into a device.
And this is a first for me. I have many old laptops, some around 30 years old, all still using their original chargers. The only issues I've ever experienced with them are:
- Battery degradation
- HDD failures
- CD/DVD drive failures
- Port issues
Most of these, as you can see, are physical in nature.
Every extra day I have to put up with this godd* laptop brings me one step closer to getting a MacBook or a Framework Laptop with Linux...
