How to get a good Elvis collection.

Hey

I've seen variations of this asked before but I can't get a proper answer.

I have always had vanilla compilations of the King but following EPiC I want to do a deep dive but the discography is so sprawling.

What is a good and affordable entry point? I've looked up RCA boxsets or whatever on Ebay but it's far too much.

I love early Elvis the most but want to touch on all Eras.

Thank you in advance!

I've been pretty negative about the new record since it dropped. I think I was blown away by BHWA so much that I was hoping we'd get another banger like that.

In the spirit of not being totally negative and contributing something nice, I wanted to highlight some positive things about the new record for me.

  1. The title track has grown on me and I think some of the delivery etc. has a Pixies-esque swagger.

  2. Asking for a Friend is still a pretty good track. It feels like it has the depth I crave from the band.

  3. Unconditional is solid and a good listen.

  4. Spit Shine captures a bit of that old Weenie Beenie/ White Limo sort of energy.

I'm hoping it'll grow on me further.
