Hi everyone,

I am in the process of sending in my naturalisation application and have a question about one of my referees (I've read through previous posts but the information was a bit contradictory).

I was thinking of putting my line manager in, they are not a British citizen but settled through the EU scheme. We work in a university, so not sure if this would be considered of "good standing". I have read the profession list but not sure if working in a university applies to any of them.

My other referee will be a British citizen who is over 25, so I'm not worried about them.

I am applying as the spouse of a British citizen after getting my ILR a few months ago.
